About Me
Michael is an Audio Designer, Voice-Over Recording Engineer, and On-Set Audio Mixer for Knott's Scary Farm with a Bachelor's in Audio Post-Production with specialization in Sound Design from California State University Long Beach, Certificate in Recording Arts, and alumni of the School of Video Game Audio. He has a passion for designing high quality audio assets for interactive experiences spanning from Video Games to Halloween Mazes. In his off time, Michael is actively joining Game Jams and experimenting in Wwise and Unreal Engine 5 to further his knowledge and interest in video game audio.

Using ProTools and Reaper as his primary DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations), Michael creates experiences through the art of sound, building authentic environments with his work. Additionally, Michael is a live sound engineer at Knott's Berry Farm, recognized for his skills in Front of House and Monitor engineering for large scaled seasonal performances at the Walter Knott Theater and Calico Mine Stage.

Looking to the future, Michael is heavily committed in advancing his career in video game audio and embrace new challenges and opportunities with his fellow designers, experimenting and pushing the boundaries of audio to give players an experience they will always remember.

Knott's Scary Farm Maze (2024)
"Eight Fingers Nine: The Boogeyman"
Audio Designer and Voice Over Recording Engineer utilizing ProTools, creating 40 sound effect assets including ambience, jumpscare triggers, and synced to animatronic FX. Engineering 4 recording sessions for 24 separate voice over assets. Worked in a team of creative designers and production teams using Qsys and Dante.
Knott's Scary Farm Maze (2024)
"Widows"
Provided sound design and dialogue design in ProTools for this spider-based maze, creating 5 sound effect files, and designing 5 voice over assets. Editing 2 unmanipulated voice over assets for two instances. Worked in a team of creative designers and production teams using Qsys and Dante.
Scream Roulette Game Jam
"Joy"
Responsible for Sound Design and Wwise audio implementation for a Horror game titled JOY. Designed 60 audio assets within a one week time frame utilizing a blend of original recordings and commercial library sources. Collaborated in a team of six using Unity as our game engine.

Gamedev.js Game Jam
"Monster Politician"
Provided sound design, audio recording, and audio mixing in ProTools and FMOD for a card based strategy game titled "Monster Politician." Used Git to collaborate with a team of eight developers, and Unity as our game engine of choice.

Utilized Wwise, Unity, and Git with a team of eight developers to create a 2D platforming puzzle game titled 'BlackWhite.' Designed and recorded all sound effects in ProTools and refined in Wwise
